WHAT TO EXPECT
Many new clients come to Alpha Fit nervous about what to expect in their first class. There’s no need to worry about holding anyone else in the group back, being out of shape, or being the only beginner in the group. Alpha Fit is for EVERYONE!
You will find beginners to advanced members in every class. To ease the nerves here is exactly what you can expect when you come into Alpha Fit on your first day.
ALPHA FIT CLASS STRUCTURE
We coach you to perform functional movements at high intensity (relative to your fitness level), giving you a comprehensive full-body workout. In our one-hour group sessions, you’ll be lead through skill instruction, strength building, and metabolic conditioning. Classes are trainer-led and peer-driven, providing an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation.
- You’ll begin class with a directed, dynamic warm-up that gets your joints loose, body moving, and your heart pumping.
- Then we’ll review the Workout of the Day (WOD) including all movements and specific technique that will be used. The WOD may consist of a 2 part workout beginning with a strength or a skill component. During the strength or skill we teach you how to perform the movement safely, and coach you through lifting weight in a way that will increase your functional strength.
- Finally, we conclude our hour with a metabolic conditioning workout (metcon, or WOD). The WOD is a full-body, well-balanced intensity driven workout.
- No matter what movements the Workout of the Day (WOD) includes you WILL be able to do it. All workouts are individualized and modified to your fitness level and abilities!
